Principle Dentist and Owner
Dr Ravin Patel
B.D.S., Grad.Dip.Dental Implantology
Dr Ravin Patel graduated with Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2011. Dr Patel has done extensive clinical training in Digital Smile Design, Wisdom Teeth Surgery, all aspects of General and Paediatric Dentistry. In 2018, Dr Patel went to Prestigious James Cook University, Cairns QLD and did Graduate Diploma in Dental Implants.
He has worked more than 9 years in both public and private sector including but not limited to Aboriginal Medical Services Grafton NSW, Coffs Harbour Base Hospital, Corporate clinics like HCF Bondi Junction, Consultant at private practices in Schofields and Minchinbury.
Ravin fell in love with Hawkesbury region since the day he visited Richmond. He became the owner of this well-established Dental Surgery and looking forward to meet and greet local people!
During his free time, Ravin enjoys outdoor activities like bike riding, bush walking, swimming, and playing cricket.

Dr Alan Moreira
B.D.S. Sydney University (1985)
Dr Alan Moreira studied Dental Surgery at Sydney University and graduated in 1985. He spent 2 years working overseas before returning to Australia and the Hawkesbury where he has lived and worked for the last 35 years.
Alan prides himself on being a general family dentist who strives to provide treatment of the highest standards coupled with compassion and care.
Outside of dentistry, Alan enjoys reading, travelling, is an avid supporter of the Sydney Swans and hopes to improve his golf handicap one day.

Dr Poonam Patel
B.D.S
Dr Poonam cleared Bachelor of Dental Surgery and graduated in 2011 from INDIA. After moving to Australia, she cleared Australian Dental Council Examinations and started working as a General Dentist. She is a very gentle and compassionate dentist, committed to provide utmost care to the patients. She is caring, and her friendly nature has built trusting relationships with her patients.
Dr Poonam enjoys attending dental continuing education workshops to stay up to date with what’s latest in the world of dentistry. Currently, Dr Patel is pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Orthodontics from the OrthoED Institute. Dr Poonam is looking forward to treating the patients for their Orthodontic treatment in near future.
She loves working as a team with her husband Dr Ravin Patel to make patients feel the most important person on the dental chair and provides best possible care. Apart from dentistry she likes reading novels, travelling and star gazing.

Dr Darryl Mercieca
Advanced Dental Sedation – University of Sydney
Dr Darryl Mercieca loves his profession and the opportunities it presents to work with patients at a very personal level. Throughout his career, he has taken a very considered approach to his continuous professional development, focusing at each stage on his patients’ greatest needs. He established his first dental practice in 1994. Three years later, he went back to the University of Sydney to study Advanced Dental Sedation. When he integrated IV sedation dentists into his practice, he was the first dentist to do so in Greater Western Sydney.
This immediately drew a significant number of patients with complex presentations to him. To date, Dr Mercieca has performed IV sedation on over 18,000 patients across practices in Sydney. His relationships with patients experiencing dental phobia underpin his consulting practice. In general, he is an extremely empathetic, educative, calm and gentle person.
Dr Mercieca focuses on providing dental sedation services to other dentists. After many years of practice and with his highly experienced team, Dr Mercieca envisages Nepean Dental Sedation as a win-win solution for patients and dentists alike.
